Biography

Rose began her legal career in China, where she worked with a Chambers USA Band 1 immigration firm, providing legal advice in the context of public international law and compliance with China’s immigration regulation and policy to Fortune Global 500 corporate clients.  Afterwards, Rose worked on the M&A team of a major commercial firm in Shanghai and collaborated closely with its managing partner, a widely respected arbitrator in the area of international commercial arbitration in China. 

Prior to her MIDS enrollment, Rose completed The Hague Academy of International Law’s program in Private International Law.  She holds an LL.M degree from Washington University School of Law, where she was selected for the school’s Philip C. Jessup (“Jessup”) International Moot Court team.  During her study in the states, Rose interned at a multinational chemicals corporation, assisting its North American in-house team with legal matters regarding cross-border compliance, contract negotiation and dispute resolution.  Rose also acted as a mediator in civil housing courts.  

Rose is eligible for admission to practice in China and the United States and expects to sit the bar exam in 2019. 

Rose speaks Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
