Biography

Nihan Kir is a current candidate at the Geneva LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS). Prior to joining the MIDS, she worked in an Istanbul-based law firm specialized in international arbitration and litigation. Her practice included investment arbitration, international commercial arbitration and mediation, on a variety of sectors ranging from infrastructure construction to public healthcare. She also completed an internship in the Banking & Finance department of a full service firm, where she has assisted the team in cross-border financing transactions and providing regulatory advice.

Nihan holds an LL.B. from Galatasaray University. There, she has taken part in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot as a team member, and then kept ties with the Vis Moot community in capacity of coach and arbitrator. 

She is admitted to the Istanbul Bar.
