Biography

Anirudh is an India qualified lawyer with an interest in international commercial arbitration, international investment arbitration and public international law. Prior to joining the MIDS, Anirudh worked at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi where he was an integral part of its International Arbitration and Litigation Team for upwards of three years. At Amarchand, he represented clients in international arbitrations under various institutional rules, post-award actions and also worked on complex shareholder disputes, regulatory actions, and post-merger litigation.

Additionally, Anirudh holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School where he graduated with academic distinction as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and obtained the Parker School Certificate for proficiency in foreign and comparative law. He also served as an Editor of the American Review of International Arbitration and was a Research Assistant to Professor George Bermann at Columbia.

Anirudh likes to contribute to scholarship around international dispute resolution and was an avid mooter during his years as an undergraduate law student at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata where he coached the University team for the Wilem C. Vis (East) Moot, was runner up at the Oxford Media Law Moot (South Asia) and was recognized as the Second Best Oralist at the Stetson Moot (India).
