Biography

Moein is an Iranian qualified attorney-at-law with a specialisation in international commercial arbitration, currently finalising his LL.M. In International dispute settlement (MIDS).

Prior to joining the MIDS, he worked in a Tehran-based law firm specialised in international dispute resolution and acted as counsel in several international commercial arbitration proceedings conducted under the aegis of different institutions (namely ICC, PCA and LCIA) and governed by various substantive and procedural laws, including Swiss, French, English and Iranian. His experience spans across various business sectors, including oil & gas, construction, commodities and the automotive industry. Apart from being involved in international arbitration proceedings, he represented clients in litigation proceedings before the Iranian courts, with a focus on proceedings to seek the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and foreign judgments.

Moein also served as the ICC YAF representative for Africa, Middle East and Turkey Chapter for the term 2019-2021. He holds an LL.M in international commercial law from Allameh Tabatabai University with distinction. He also participated in Permanent Court of Arbitration and Leiden University summer school on international arbitration (2017), and in Arbitration Academy’s summer program in Paris (2018).
