Biography

Anooksha is an India-qualified lawyer with a keen interest in international arbitration and dispute settlement. She is currently pursuing the Master’s degree in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS LL.M.) offered by the Geneva Centre for International Dispute Settlement.

Prior to the MIDS, Anooksha was working as an Associate at S&A Law Offices (previously, Singh & Associates), a premier law firm for dispute settlement in India. She worked with the dispute resolution team extensively on high-stake construction arbitration matters. Along with her team, Anooksha has represented a diverse range of clients in commercial arbitrations under several institutional rules and before various courts and tribunals in India.

She completed a degree in law in 2020 from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (Amity Law School, Delhi). During law school, Anooksha completed several internships with prestigious law firms and arbitration practitioners, including at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Khaitan & Co. As a law student, Anooksha successfully represented her university in moot courts and ADR competitions. She was part of the first ever team in her law school to receive an hon'ble mention for the memorial during the Vis East Moot Competition.

Anooksha is also an active member of the civil society, and previously worked with not-for-profit organizations to help educate underprivileged children in India. Her work in civil society revolves around facilitating operations, building capacity of grassroot agencies and conducting socio-legal research.
