Biography

Aditya is a lawyer enrolled in India (2022). Before joining the MIDS, he completed his B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) with a specialization in international trade and investment law from National Law University Jodhpur, ranking seventh out of 111 students in his batch. He has previously worked as a research assistant to Dr Aniruddha Rajput during the International Law Commission’s 72nd session and interned at premier Indian law firms like Khaitan & Co. and Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan.

Additionally, Aditya was an avid mooter during his undergraduate law studies. His team at the 2020 Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot finished as quarter-finalists and received awards for preparing the third-best respondent memorial alongside an Honorable Mention for the best Claimant memorial. At the global rounds of the 2021 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, his team qualified to the top 48 as the 22nd-ranked team and received awards for preparing the fourth-best combined memorials and the fourth-best applicant memorial. He continues to assist teams participating in both competitions.

Aditya also enjoys academically engaging with topics related to international dispute settlement. He was on the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Arbitration Law for three years and has published articles in reputed journals, including UNIDROIT’s Uniform Law Review and Thomson Reuters’ Australasian Dispute Resolution Journal.

His areas of interest include international commercial law and arbitration, international trade and investment law, and public international law.
