Biography

Maximin teaches and conducts research in international arbitration, contract law and civil procedure. He is currently Full Professor of Law at the University of Western Brittany in France and leads the Master in Arbitration and Business Law of the University of Versailles – Paris Saclay (MACI). In addition, Maximin is a Visiting Professor at the University of Monterrey (Mexico).

He graduated from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and from McGill University (LL.M). During the year 2011 he was Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School in New York.

He is the author of a monograph entitled « Weak parties and arbitration » (2013), co-author of the « Commented French Arbitration Code » (2020) and of various contributions in books and articles in law journals, mainly focused on arbitration and contract law. He also participates as speaker in various conferences and workshops in academic and professional symposia.

Maximin is an active member of the Société de Legislation Comparé (SLC), the Comité Français de l’Arbitrage and the French Branch of the International Law Association.
