Biography

Bianca is a Philippine qualified lawyer with professional experience in the field of international dispute settlement (State-vs-State and international arbitration).

Before pursuing her LL.M., Bianca was working as a Staff Lawyer in Volterra Fietta, a boutique Public International Law firm, based in London. There, she was involved in a number of the firm’s public international law advisory and dispute resolution matters for the firm’s clients, which comprise of States, international organizations and multi-national companies.

Prior to this, Bianca served as a dispute settlement intern at the World Trade Organization (WTO), Legal Affairs Division in Geneva, Switzerland. In this role, she was one of the lawyers in the Division providing legal assistance to WTO dispute settlement Panels that act as the first-instance adjudicators of State-vs-State WTO disputes.

She graduated with a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics in 2017 and a four-year Juris Doctor (JD) degree in 2021, both from the University of the Philippines with honors, and as one of the top graduates of her class. She also represented her university in four international moot competitions where she garnered three Championships, a Best Orator award and three Memorial awards.

After her admission to the Philippine bar, she worked as an Associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan, one of the leading law firms in the Philippines. While pursuing her JD, she worked as a Research Assistant for the University for three years in the field of Public International Law, Obligations and Contracts and Torts and Damages.

Bianca has acted as a memorials judge in the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition and the Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition. She has also served as an in-person oral rounds Judge for the Jessup Philippine Qualifying Rounds held in Manila, Philippines, the Second European Regional Rounds of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition held in Brno, Czech Republic, and the Stetson South East Asia Regional Rounds held in Manila, Philippines.
