Biography

Aastha is an Indian qualified lawyer with a keen interest in international arbitration and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining the MIDS program, she worked as an Associate with the dispute resolution team at Bharucha & Partners, Mumbai. She has 3 years’ experience of handling ad-hoc and institutional commercial arbitrations, arbitration-related court proceedings, insolvency matters, commercial litigations and white collar investigations. She has dealt with high-value and complex commercial disputes in various sectors including construction, joint ventures, private equity and information technology. To this end, she represented clients (both foreign and domestic) before arbitral tribunals, courts and quasi-judicial tribunals across India. Additionally, she occasionally worked with the firm’s Transactions Practice group.

Aastha graduated with first class honours from Christ, Bangalore (B.A.LLB (Hons.)). During law school, she represented her university in moot court competitions and also published articles in reputed journals.
