Biography

Chandana completed her B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) with a specialization in international law from National Law University Vishakhapatnam, ranking sixth out of 131 students in her batch. She was awarded gold medals for excelling in Public International Law, International Dispute Resolution, and Intellectual Property Rights.

She has previously interned at the office of Justice Pratibha M Singh where she assisted the Judge by briefing her on a diverse range of matters pertaining to Intellectual property rights and commercial disputes; drafting reserved judgments and composing speeches to be delivered by the judge. She also worked as a research assistant to Mr. Prteek Chakraverty, where she worked on the UNCITRAL Working Group III’s 40th and 41st sessions Chandana also gained experience in arbitration and dispute resolution through internship at prominent Indian firms such as Dua Associates and Kochhar & Co., as well as in litigation offices such as the office of Advocate General Mr. BS Prasad.
During her academic journey, Chandana represented her university in moot court, ADR, and debate competitions. Her team excelled in the International Criminal Court Moot Court competition, qualifying for the international rounds. They were adjudged as the second-best respondent team and received an Honorable Mention for winning the highest number of rounds. She also enjoys engaging with topics related to international commercial law. She was the Secretary and the Managing Editor for Centre for business and Commerciale laws for three years and has published articles in reputed journals, including the Common Wealth Law Review and the Indian Journal of Law & International Affairs
In the MIDS, she is currently interested in international trade law, investment arbitration and public international law.
