Robin is an India-qualified lawyer with over six years of professional experience in the field of international dispute resolution. Before enrolling at the MIDS, Robin was working as a Principal Associate in the international arbitration and dispute resolution team at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), one of India’s premier law firms.
During his stint at CAM, he has represented and advised diverse clients from over ten countries in ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations (including under ICC, SIAC, LCIA Rules), as well as in associated enforcement and annulment proceedings. He also has extensive experience in handling complex multi-jurisdictional commercial matters pertaining to shareholders’ disputes, bank guarantee invocation, contractual claims, insolvency and winding up proceedings, etc. before the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court.
Robin holds a bachelor’s degree in arts and law (B.A., LL.B.) from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. He has also completed several certification courses on international dispute settlement mechanisms and oral advocacy, imparted by institutes such as the UNCITRAL, Delos Dispute Resolution Institution (Paris) and Leiden Law School.
In his free time, Robin likes playing strategy board games. He is also passionate about trekking and has completed seven treks in the Himalayas.
