Saniya is an India-qualified lawyer with over three years of professional experience. Prior to joining the MIDS, she was an associate with the litigation and arbitration departments of India’s premier law firms, including Khaitan & Co. and Trilegal. She has worked on a diverse array of disputes belonging to commercial, constitutional, and environmental laws.
She regularly contributes to legal writing and has published for Kluwer Arbitration Blog and Thomson Reuters Practical Law.
Saniya completed her B.A. LL.B (Hons.) at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. As a student, she won the Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot, 2017 and has been associated with the moot as an arbitrator and coach since then.
