Biography

Arthad Kurlekar has completed his Bachelor of Civil Law with Distinction at the University of Oxford and his BA.LLB at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. He has also completed the Diploma in Commercial Arbitration offered by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Presently, he is a candidate for the LLM (MIDS) and is the MIDS Fellow to the Permanent Court of Arbitration for 2018-19. Prior to this, he has worked as a research assistant to Dr Remy Gerbay and Prof (Dr) Ingeborg Schwenzer. He has been a part of the Willem C. Vis (East) International Arbitration Moot Court Competition for several years as a participant, coach and an arbitrator.
