Ranjeev Khatana is an India qualified international disputes lawyer with four years of professional experience. He spent his first year in the commercial litigation practice of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. He then moved to the international arbitration practice of P&A Law Offices, where he spent three years representing clients in investment treaty arbitrations, international commercial arbitrations and litigations.
He has represented India in four ad-hoc UNCITRAL investment arbitrations (along with associated litigations in India and Singapore). He has also represented state and private entities in commercial arbitrations and associated litigations in disputes arising out of shareholders agreement, long term supply agreement and construction agreement. His experience cuts across various sectors, including airports ground handling, natural gas, automobile, metallurgy, mining and railways.
During his undergraduate law studies, Ranjeev was an avid mooter, representing his university in the world rounds of the 57th and 58th Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (Jessup). His team finished as octo-finalist and semi-finalist, respectively. Since then, he has also successfully coached teams participating in the Jessup moot and continues to be intimately involved in emerging issues in international law.
